Metcon MCC – 1170 is a one pack, air-drying synthetic primer exhibiting an excellent smooth and uniform finish. It gives excellent adhesion to mild steel and wooden surfaces. After complete curing it gives a tough film which provides a long term protection against mild atmospheric conditions. It is resistant to Hydraulic oil and Transformer oil.
It is used as an oil resistant primer for transformer tanks /oil storage tanks/ drums etc internally.
It is also used as tough coat on bottom frames of transformers.
Ensure that the surface is oil and grease free clean and dry. Rust is to be removed or Rust convertor may be applied as a protective measure. Add recommended thinner to adjust application viscosity and apply with brush or spray.
