PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Metcon MCC – 2709 is a two-component polyamide cured high solid Epoxy coating with a low VOC providing excellent chemical and weathering resistance in highly corrosive atmospheric condition or underwater application. The coating adheres strongly to concrete or epoxy primer coated mild steel surfaces forming a tough, hard, abrasion resistant film.

RECOMMENDED USAGE

MCC – 2709 is used as Epoxy coating to improve barrier protection for a range of anti corrosive coating system in a wide range of environments including underwater off shore structures, Petrochemical plants pulp & paper mills. It is suitable for use in both maintenance and new construction as part of an anticorrosive coating system.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Old Structures are necessary to get thoroughly cleaned for all sorts of dirt and contamination. It should be then primed with Epoxy primer having strong adhesion and good resistance to all sorts of attacks. Both parts are to be mixed in the given ratio and to be applied by brush or spray at around 100 microns. In general one coat is sufficient.

Clean Up : It is good working practice to periodically flush out spray equipment during the course of the working day. Frequency of cleaning will depend upon amount sprayed, temperature and elapsed time, including any delays.
Safety Precautions : This product is intended for use only by professional applicator. Use of personal protective equipment and adequate local exhaust ventilation is recommended during application.
