POLYUREA CLEAR PRIMER - (METCON MCC - 1199)

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Metcon MCC – 1199 Polyurea Primer is a single pack product which has extraordinary adhesion & various substrate such as masonry, metals, wood etc. The film formed on curing is very tough, scratch resistant and has very high pencil hardness combined with flexibility and chemical resistance.

RECOMMENDED USAGE

MCC - 1199 is recommended as a primer coating to concrete flooring before application of epoxy primer / self level coating to provide a strong moisture barrier for subsequent epoxy/ PU floor coating. In view of its tough adhesion and overcoat properties, it can be used as a primer coat on poorly prepared steel substrates before painting with other coats.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

This primer is based on moisture cure Polyurethane and is very sensitive to moisture. It is therefore to be kept in an air tight container. After necessary cleaning of the substrate may be concrete or metal this is to be applied with brush or roller and allow to dry hard.

8. Mixing Ratio : 1 Parts of Base to 1 Part Hardener (by volume)
9. Film Hardness : 3H - 4 H
10. Thinner : Special PU Thinner
11. Re-Coatability : After 3 hrs/overnight
12. Pot Life : 1 hr in open state
13. Drying Properties : Air Dry : 30 min
Tack free : 60 min.
Hard Dry : Over night
14. Storage Stability : 3 months in sealed and unopened tins
15. Clean Up : It is good working practice to periodically flush out equipment during the course of the working day. Frequency of cleaning will depend upon amount sprayed, temperature and elapsed time, including any delays.
16. Safety Precautions : This product is intended for use only by professional applicator. Use of Personal protective equipment and adequate local exhaust ventilation is recommended during application.
