Metcon MCC – 2401 is an air-drying synthetic enamel exhibiting an excellent smooth and uniform finish. It is available in a wide range of Colours. It gives excellent adhesion to mild steel and wooden surfaces. After complete curing it gives a tough film which provides a long term protection against mild atmospheric conditions. It is resistant to Hydraulic Oil and Transformer oil.


MCC – 2401 is to be applied as a top coat over Synthetic primer or Epoxy Primer surface. It is used as a finish coat for exterior steelwork in mild corrosive atmospheric conditions. It is used in paper industries, distilleries, pharmaceutical companies, fertilizer plants and construction steelworks and also it is used as a top coat for original equipment, machine components and transformers.


Proper cleaning of the metal surface will enhance the life of the coating. Clean & wipe the surface to get free from dust, rust scale, loose particles and grease. The surface should be primed with an epoxy primer before top coating with MCC 2401.

15. CLEAN UP : It is good working practice to periodically flush out spray equipment during the course of the working day. Frequency of cleaning will depend upon amount sprayed, temperature and elapsed time, including any delays.
16. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS : Both polymer and thinner are rapid drying type. Always paint with small qty and replace lid after use. Use safety precautions regarding Flammability of Solvents & Paints. All mixed materials and empty containers should be disposed off in accordance with appropriate regional regulations.
