Metcon MCC - 2711 is a two-component, Epoxy Micaceous iron oxide based coat which provides excellent resistance to water, mineral oils, chemicals and corrosion. It gives 100% adhesion to the bare metal or treated surface & concrete surface. The abrasion and impact resistance is strong enough for protection of substrate. As a Tie Coat, the coating adheres strongly to epoxy primer coated, epoxy zinc rich primer coated surfaces, inorganic zinc silicate primer coated surfaces and concrete etc., forming a tough & hard, abrasion resistant, durable film.
MCC – 2711 is used as an ideal primer or intermediate coat for epoxy & polyurethane topcoat in humid conditions & mild to moderately corrosive marine & industrial atmosphere.
As a primer it may be applied on clean and dry substrate or as a Intercoat can be applied on Epoxy primer coat.
