Metcon MCC 1125 is a solventfree, two component epoxy based primer recommended for concrete and masonry substrates. It provides excellent adhesion to concrete and other cementatious substrates. It shows excellent penetrating properties and bonding to epoxy screeds or top coats.
MCC 1125 is used as primer and for screed coat in conjunction with Metcon range of floor toppings.
Before primer application, ensure that the concrete is clean and dry. Moisture test is conducted by moisture meter or plastic sheet method (ASTM D4263 : Standard test method for indicating moisture should not be more than 4 - 5%). Surface preparation like scarification, grinding or shot blasting is done to achieve a surface profile of 150 - 200 microns.
