PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Metcon MCC – 1190 is a two-component high solid Zinc Rich Ethyl Silicate primer is a fast curing coating with excellent corrosion resistance and adhesion to the bare metal and treated surface. It is a suitable primer for almost all the topcoats including Epoxy, Polyurethane, Vinyl, Acrylic, Synthetic & Fast Drying Finish Paint etc. The product has excellent resistance against water, solvent, chemicals etc and has very good abrasion resistance.

RECOMMENDED USAGE

MCC 1190 is suitable for use as part of High Performance coating system to provide an anti-corrosive barrier in areas where aggressive corrosion conditions prevail. Ideal primer coat for new construction and maintenance in aggressive environments including those found on offshore structures, Petrochemical facilities, Pulp and paper plants, power plants.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Mix base and hardener as per given mixing ratio and agitate continuously after mixing to avoid settlement. Apply the primer using Airless spray at recommended DFT to get uniform finish.

Recoatability : 5 - 6 hrs after full curing (maximum 7 days)
Shelf Life : 6 months for Part A
3 years for Part B
Clean Up : It is good working practice to periodically flush out equipment during the course of the working day. Frequency of cleaning will depend upon amount sprayed, temperature and elapsed time, including any delays.
Storage : Component A to be stored in a dry cool well ventilated space with temperature below 25oC.
